Being farthest from Ramnagar offers the Durga Devi zone a unique advantage, it is untouched by human intervention. The Durga Devi Jeep Safari is an experience that one should absolutely not miss. The zone located 28 km from Ramnagar is open for tourists from 15th October to 15th June. Entry into the zone is through the Durga Devi gate.

Situated on the north-eastern boundary of Corbett tiger reserve, this zone is nestled between the hills and Ramganga river. The greenery can be attributed to the fact that Mandal and Ramganga rivers keep crossing throughout the zone. The picturesque beauty of the zone is best explored in Durga Devi jeep safari. The safari is conducted twice in a day (morning and evening) with a maximum of 11 jeeps in a shift.

The zone is rich in flora as well as fauna. A huge variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, and trees can be seen by nature enthusiasts. The flora of Durga Devi zone includes:

How to Book Durga Devi Jeep Safari

Safari of 3 to 3nd half hours duration takes place twice in a day. The timings for morning safari are 6:00 am - 9.30 am in summers and 7:00 am - 10:00 am in winters. Evening safari takes place at 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm in summers and 2:00 pm - 5.30 pm in winters. A maximum of 6 people can take a jeep safari at a time. The charges for the same are INR 4500 per jeep for Indian nationals and INR 7000/jeep for foreigners. Prior booking is recommended as only 11 safaris are allowed inside the zone at a time. Indian nationals can book Durga Devi jeep safari 45 days before their visit while foreign nationals can book one 90 days in advance. ID proof is mandatory while booking and in the person. Passport is mandatory for foreign nationals.
